Hey there, today I want to share with you the history of streamlit, one of my favorite tools for creating data apps. Streamlit is an open-source Python library that lets you build interactive web apps with minimal code. You can use it to showcase your data analysis, machine learning models, visualizations and more.

Streamlit was founded in 2018 by Adrien Treuille, Thiago Teixeira and Amanda Kelly, who were frustrated by the lack of easy and fast ways to share their data projects with others. They wanted to create a tool that would allow anyone to turn their Python scripts into beautiful web apps in minutes. They also wanted to make it fun and enjoyable to use.

Streamlit has grown rapidly since its launch in 2019. It has attracted over 10 million app views and over 20 thousand GitHub stars. It has also been adopted by many companies and organizations such as Uber, Spotify, NASA and the World Health Organization. Streamlit has a vibrant community of users who contribute ideas, feedback and support on its forum and social media platforms.

Streamlit’s mission is to empower people to create data apps that matter. It aims to democratize data science and make it accessible to everyone. It also strives to foster a culture of creativity and collaboration among its users. Streamlit is constantly evolving and adding new features and integrations to make data app development easier and more enjoyable.

If you haven’t tried streamlit yet, I highly recommend you give it a go. You can install it with pip or conda and follow the tutorials on its website. You can also check out some amazing examples of streamlit apps on its gallery or on awesome-streamlit.org. Trust me, you’ll be amazed by what you can do with streamlit!
